presence in the now. Big American blockbusters such as Pompeii and Exodus revive
history and the great narratives that centre
on universal and moral aspects of life. Old
myths from ancient societies such as the
Greek and Etruscan are reborn and throw
modern civilization in relief.
The religious touch is interpreted in a mini-
malistic aesthetic, which, thanks to the
influence from the ethnic and ancient cultures, are less streamlined than in previous seasons. Focus will be placed on natural materials, craftsmanship and the art of

crisis, we need something simple and joyful. Pharrel Williams’ hit single from 2014,
Happy, did a great job of expressing just
this desire. It’s a tribute to freedom where
the pleasure of not doing anything and having fun is appreciated. In an attempt to bal-
ance the efficiency and seriousness of our
everyday lives, we find value in not taking
things too seriously and add a bit of humour
with what the trend agency has defined as
a "light-hearted attitude". Prints will draw
inspiration from drawings and illustrations emphasising a preference for the Do
It Yourself attitude.
The colour universe draws inspiration from
earthly colours in natural, subdued nuan

atmosphere of a colourful garden party. We
will also see a fresh line of olours such as

peony red, green tones, faded out nuances
of ripe corn yellow, a subdued pink and
brown tones found in trees and bark.
