THE
MEDIA
CONSULTANT
MMIA What’s the one thing you wish
you knew when you started out?
AYANNA Women networking resources and other women that are
doing the things that I wanted to be
known for within my business.
MMIA What part of your biz are you
most passionate about?
AYANNA Working with my clients
and seeing the comments on the workshops that I implement and develop
based on their individual needs and
the satisfaction knowing I’m making
a small impact in the larger scheme of
things for their organization
MMIA How do you balance the roles
of entrepreneur and mom?
AYANNA I have made a conscious effort to prioritize the most important
things to me and that is my children
and family. I make time for them.
MMIA How do your children feel
about mommy being an entrepreneur?
AYANNA They love it, they both want
to be involved in some aspect. My
daughter is a budding artist and baker and would love to have her own
business one day and my son got it
naturally and is working on a tee-shirt
business for himself. So we are truly a
family of entrepreneurs.
MMIA What are your unique gifts and
talents and how do you use them in
your biz?
AYANNA Interpersonal relationships,
I love helping people in any way I can
to achieve their ultimate goals, I love
meeting people, networking, as well as
talking and of course listening. I have
just realized a lot this year of new gifts
and talents that are beginning to blossom this year. So I use my gifts and
talents in the way that I show genuine
concern for my clients and new business opportunities that come my way.
I’m always willing to approach a new
opportunity as a learning experiences. I
never claim I have arrived or know it all.
MMIA What are your views on moms
becoming entrepreneurs?
AYANNA I love the idea, I believe that
we as moms, are already CEO’s of our
families and our businesses are just an
extension of that. Also, as long as we
can balance the well-being of our family and keep God as the focus we can
do all things.
