No more babies featured article Mom is pursuing her dreams now Dreaming is such a huge part of our daily lives. We can pursue them and make them happen, or we can keep dreaming for the rest of our lives wondering what it could be like. I know this all so well about putting my dreams on hold. My dreams have been on hold for the past two decades. Twenty two years ago, I planned to graduate and go on to pursue my dreams of becoming a professional model and dancer. But much to my surprise I received a graduation present that would change my life and plans forever. Welcome to motherhood! The plans for my future had taken a dramatic turn. My dreams were put on hold and I didn’t know where to go from there nor did I know how to dream another dream. I went on to get married to my high school sweetheart. By the age of twentythree, I was a wife and a mother of a three year old managing a household. My husband and I knew nothing about being parents let alone being married, but we learned along the way step by step and year by year. Having these responsibilities at such a young age caused me to grow up quickly. Taking on these roles meant to me, that I had to put my dreams on hold. This reality would turn out to be the path that I would travel for some years to come. The road where I would continually place my hope and dreams on the back burner in order to support those close to me. So now twenty-three years later…Who am I?
