he producer of her own hit reality show on
BET The Family Crews, which still receives
praise by critics and fans to date, Rebecca
Crews is a singer, songwriter, producer, talk
show host, mom of five and wife. Her music single,
“Can I Stay,” launched last year in July 2014. “Can I
Stay” is fun smooth jazz and perfect for the summer.
The inspiration stemmed from a spiritual experience
when Rebecca realized there was a divine plan and
purpose for her life. The single will be followed by a fulllength album to be released in 2015. The album shares
her story, her trials and triumphs throughout her life,
much surrounding her family and 25 year marriage
to actor Terry Crews. Terry recently admitted that
Rebecca was his saving grace when he admitted to
her that he was struggling with porn addition and it
nearly destroyed their marriage. Rebecca showed
him grace, love, and forgiveness and today they are
continuing in their marriage stronger than ever.
As you can see, Rebecca is definitely a busy
mompreneur. We had a chance to interview
Rebecca and received some very enlightening
information from her. Her journey is simply incredible.
“Even though I am an actress,
I didn’t really want to go into
the whole like bright lights
of Hollywood.”
MMIA: You are a woman of many talents and most of
us know you for our ministry and entertainment, but
enlighten us on your days as a hairstylist.
REBECCA: Oh this is a fun question for me today
because I just came from the hair stylist. I started
out back in college when I was pregnant with my
daughter Naomi and I always dreamed of doing
hair. On and off I did hair for 12 years and I loved it, I
loved salon life. I am very proud to say that I am a
retired hairdresser.
MMIA: You have been married to Terry Crews, actor
and former NFL player for 25 years now right?
REBECCA: Yes, my life, my whole life he has been
my husband.
MMIA: What advice can you give to those who are
on the brink of divorce or separation? >
