The hair Care Queen
“When I was 13 I became a manufacturer of household cleaning products. I would mix simple solutions
in our small kitchen and sell them to the neighbors. My labels consisted of white name badges with
black markers.”
MMIA: When did you decide to become an entrepreneur?
LEOLA: I decided to become an entrepreneur at 12 years old. I was
always excited to create and build things. When I was 13 I became a
manufacturer of household cleaning products. I would mix simple
solutions in our small kitchen and sell them to the neighbors. My labels
consisted of White name badges with Black Markers. In my current
business of manufacturing hair care and wellness products, I decided
to become an entrepreneur after using herbal supplements and reaping
benefits to help with an auto-immune disease called Sarcoidoses. When I
saw the great results of certain ingredients I began mixing and matching
my own for greater benefit. I also shared these products with many
friends. I built a team of distributors and the products were a real hit.
Women’s hair had grown longer than they’d ever known and people were

most entrepreneurs had a slight amount of entrepreneurism in them since

seeing money right away but that does not equate to profit. One has to
reinvest in essentials for business survival such as advertising, employees
and inventory etc. Then once all of those are running the profit comes in.
But it should not take long if the base is set correctly.
MMIA: Do you ever regret your decision to become a full-time
entrepreneur?
LEOLA: No, I often tell people that the worst day working for yourself
is better than the best day working
