“My kids are very much a part of my business. They all hold roles at
my events. I have always been committed to making them the reason
and NOT the excuse why I couldn’t make things happen.”
MMIA: When did you decide to become an entrepreneur?
KELLIE: As a child I was always selling something to make money
whether it was lemonade, pencils or candy at school. I would go to the
boardwalk on the weekends and win prizes that I could go back to school
and sell. I think I have been an entrepreneur my entire life but officially
at 22.
MMIA: How long did it take you to go from business idea to actually
seeing income?
KELLIE: Instantly. I started my journey in the MLM industry and I got
my first check the following week. I can monetize ideas very quickly and
that’s an area of business I really pride myself in.
MMIA: Do you ever regret your decision to become a full-time
entrepreneur?
KELLIE: Never ever ever! I went full time at 24 and have never looked
back. It’s been one of the best decisions I have made in my entire life!
MMIA: How do you balance the roles of mommy and entrepreneur?
KELLIE: My kids are very much a part of my business. They all hold roles
at my events. I have always been committed to making them the reason
and NOT the excuse why I couldn’t make things happen. We all build our
vision boards together and have common goals so that they feel a sense
of ownership to our businesses. They will always know that when we
work hard we get to play hard too!
remind them from time to time when I take them to school and when we
are on vacation during a work or school week that none of that would be
possible if we didn’t work for ourselves.
MMIA: Take us through a typical day in your life.
KELLIE:
• Lay in bed for at least 1 minutes and meditate
0
• Check Facebook
• Go for a walk
• Coffee!
• Right to work by 9
• Love breaks all throughout day with hubby
• Cook dinner around 5
• Family Time
• Prepare for next day
MMIA: What’s your advice to curious moms who are on the fence about
becoming an entrepreneur?
KELLIE: Start something on the side while still keeping your job. Take
the money earned and keep reinvesting in your business, in particular
in branding and marketing. Learn how to speak and sell. The person on
stage is the one who makes the money! Get around like minded, forward
thinking entrepreneurs as much as possible by attending events and think
tank groups. Your income will never exceed your personal development
so keep reading and growing yourself as a leader. The E-Myth Revisited
is one of my favorite business books along with the 4 Hour Work Week.
Last of all, never ever ever quit! Winners never quit, quitters never win!
MMIA: How do your children feel about mommy being an entrepreneur?
KELLIE: They don’t always understand the freedom that it provides so I
