Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
Greetings!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I truly love Christmas along with all the sights
and sounds of this special time of the year. Have you ever wondered what it was like the
night Jesus was born? In my mind, I think about Mary the mother of Jesus. She traveled
by donkey to go to the place where Jesus would be born and instead of placing Him in a
nice nursery, His first bed was in a stable. Just think about the sights of that night, the
smell of being in a stable, and the sound of animals. The Messiah had been born and
there was no special provision made for Him. Was it just business as usual for most
people?
Today, as I think about the return of our Messiah, will it be to most people, business as
usual? Think about it! Do we really expect Him to return? Does He abide on the throne
of our heart or do we treat Him like He was treated when He was born? There was no
provision made for Him in the Inn! Do we make room for Him in our life? Is He the
most important or do the sights and sounds of the season crowd Him out? Are we more
interested in the programs, decorations, and gifts than the giver? My prayer today is…
“Search my heart dear Lord and constantly remind me of the most important part of this
Season. IT’s all about YOU LORD!”
Every day is Christmas to me. I celebrate the giver and Thank God for the greatest GIFT.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
