Spring is definitely the most beautiful time of the year . In many countries it is a symbol of beginning of something new and unusual . Spring is associated with warmth , love and of course with flowering of trees and plants . In Japan cherry blossoms are of special importance . Sakura is a cherry tree whose flowers are white or light-pink . The fruits it brings are quite inedible , or it doesn ’ t bring them at all . For the Japanese Sakura is a rather aesthetic value . Academic year in Japan traditionally begins in April , at this time people all over the country from March to April and sometimes until the end of May are enjoying cherry blossoms . In Japan it is customary to celebrate this event with a drink and tasty meal . In parks , squares and streets , you can see a lot of people under pink blossoming branches . This high day in Japan is called Hanami , and goes back to the 8th century . The image of the cherry blossom has symbolic and religious meaning . For centuries cherry has developed different myths , legends and superstitions . Cherry blossom was considered the receptacle of the souls of the ancestors , and the contemplation of flowering was to bring soul peace and tranquility . Cherry blossoms aren ’ t very long . After few days , and sometimes after only one day , its petals begin to fall . Such a short event in Japan is usually compared with the brevity of human life . I want to summarize the fact that according to forecasts this year in the South of Japan , Sakura will start to blossom not earlier than March , 25 , and will continue flowering in the North until May , 10 .
Весна , безусловно , - прекраснейшее время года . Во многих странах мира она является символом начала чего-то нового и необычного . Весна ассоциируется с теплом , любовью и , конечно же , с цветением деревьев и растений . В Японии особое значение имеет цветение сакуры . Сакура - это дерево вишни , цветы которого имеют белый или нежно-розовый цвет . Плоды оно приносит совсем несъедобные либо не приносит их вообще . Для японцев же сакура несёт скорее эстетическое значение . Учебный год в этой стране традиционно начинается в апреле , именно в это время жители всего государства с марта по апрель , а иногда и до конца мая , трепетно наблюдают за цветением вишни . В Японии принято праздновать это событие выпивкой и разной вкусной едой . В парках , скверах и на улицах можно увидеть множество людей под розовыми цветущими ветвями . Этот праздник в Японии называется Ханами и берет свое начало ещё с восьмого века . Образ сакуры обладает символическим и религиозным смыслом . На протяжении веков вокруг вишни складывались разные мифы , легенды и приметы . Цветы сакуры считались вместилищем душ предков , и созерцание цветения должно было принести душам покой и умиротворение . Сакура цветёт совсем недолго . Через несколько дней , а иногда и через всего один день , её лепестки начинают опадать . Такое короткое событие в Японии принято сравнивать с мимолетностью человеческой жизни . Хочется подытожить тем , что , по прогнозам , в этом году на юге Японии сакура начнёт цвести не раньше 25 марта и продолжит свое цветение на севере до 10 мая .
