<@mink> It’s PYRON!
That’s who it is!
<@mink> welcome back to IRC. it’s been a while.
Using my phone/lte
<@mink> haha how’s the interface?
At least 20 years
It’s just like I remember
I had a custom interface back then with dark color schemes

<@mink> me too.. I used to use mIRC
<@mink> and ircII way back when on linux
<@mink> BitchX haha
<@Pyron> Yup mIRC was the first program I’d install if I reformatted my computer
<@Pyron> That, winzip, Winamp
<@mink> oh those days. We used to need to do that all the time as a part of “maintenance”
<@Pyron> I forgot what else

<@Pyron> For sure. I had hard disk for everything
<@mink> I used RAR a lot.. I remember when that came out and it caused an uproar.. the anti-RAR
people
<@Pyron> I was a late winrar boomer
<@Pyron> mIRC was great for music before Napster came out
<@mink> Hey.. well I had a 286 for the longest time, so I didn’t even have windows.. everyone
else was running around on their 486 dx2’s and I still had my 6mhz with 640kb of ram
<@mink> arguably, that’s how I learned to get into computers.. because most of the time, I was
struggling with hardware and system and config.sys in order to get the most bang out of that
thing
<@Pyron> Right.. 386s is where I started but it wasn’t even my computer. I use to watch my
friend go on mirc on his comp
<@mink> must have been jealous.. haha
<@Pyron> Watching him play the original gta, wolfenstien, doom
<@Pyron> Super jealous and comps cost an arm and a leg at that point in my life
<@mink> I remember downloading 256color GIFs at 240bytes per second
<@mink> oldschool epic Hayes 2400 baud modem.. haha
<@mink> do you remember the first photo you’ve ever taken?
<@Pyron> I miss the dial up connection noise
<@mink> yah! I remember how I could tell the difference between a 9600 connection and a 14.4
