In the fall of 2011 Parade started his driving training. Mike says “Parade had natural talent from the first time he wore a bridle. It just came so easy for him.” With his biggest accomplishment still yet to come, at the 2012 World Show, Parade was entered in driving classes for the first time and he handled it with the aplomb of a true champion. He won World Championships in the 3 Year Old Country Driving class, Country Pleasure 32”-34” and the Versatility class. At the 76 Miniature Horse World O ctober / N o v ember 2 0 1 5 last night of the World show, Parade won the Heermann - Best All Around Horse award, making a sweet victory for the breeder, manager and trainer team that had worked hard to get Parade to this point. This was an unheard of accomplishment for a horse that was just three years old! In 2013, Parade’s class list grew, adding Hunter to his repertoire. Then, on a whim, Mike entered him in the Roadster class at the Central Championship Show that year. Not surprisingly, he took to it like a duck to water! At World Show that year he was named World Champion Versatility and World Champion Country Pleasure Driving, 32”34” and placed Top Five in Open Hunter, Open and Gentleman’s Roadster and Senior Geldings 32”-34”. When the points were tabulated and again Los Arboles Idols Hit Parade was named Best All-Around Horse, the Parade team was thrilled. Only one other time in AMHA’s history had a horse achieved this heroic title more than once. In 2014 Parade set a record by being crowned World Champion Best All-Around Horse for the third consecutive year. He accomplished this by adding World Championships in Country Pleasure Driving Geldings, three Reserve World Championships, one each in Open Roadster, Versatility and Halter Geldings 32” to 34”. He was also leased to an AMHA new comer, Carlee Dupuy, for Youth 8-12 classes.
