On behalf of the patients, family members and caregivers, APAM thanks Dr.
Dominic Fitzgerald for his thoughtfulness on the writing of a practical, didactic guide
with an accessible language, and authorizing its translation. We are thankful for the
recognition and appreciation of APAM’s actions in order to approximate our patients
to scientific knowledge about cystic fibrosis, making the daily routine conscient,
increasing the adherence to treatment, providing more life quality and longevity.
We thank for the voluntary work of our translator, Daniela Lino Melo, and of
Dr. Fabíola Vilac Adde, responsible for the content revision, placing it into Brazilian
reality. Without them, this dream wouldn't have become true.
Fulfilling its role of defending the patients’ rights and always seeking for the
best conditions to the performing and access to the treatment, APAM hopes to have
contributed to it by making information available in Portuguese to those to whom it
may concern.
We are thankful to all who collaborated anyhow to the concretization of this
work, as well as to all the Cystic Fibrosis community who works relentless.
