September 2018 Members Recognized in “Thirty Under 30” National industry publication Manufacturing Engineering announced its sixth annual 30 Under 30 class, recognizing 30 individuals under the age of 30 from across the country who are leading the manufacturing industry into the future, a list which included six employees of MMA member companies. “This year’s Class of 30 Under 30 is a very impressive group,” said Manufacturing Engineering editor emeritus Jim Sawyer, who authored the honoree profiles. “It’s great to see such an outstanding and diverse group of people being showcased for their accomplishments and talents in the manufacturing industry.” Among the 2018 30 Under 30 honorees are: • Garret C. MiMfg Magazine 25 Robert Bosch, LLC Earns MIOSHA’s Highest Honor for Workplace Safety and Health MMA member company Robert Bosch, LLC was awarded the Michigan Voluntary Protection Program (MVPP) Star Award, the State of Michigan’s highest workplace safety and health award, from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA). Bosch becomes one of only 26 companies in the state with MVPP Star status. Established in 1996, the MVPP recognizes employers with exemplary safety and health systems. An applicant must demonstrate that the injury and illness incidence rates for each of the last three calendar years are below the rates published for their respective NAICS code. 6
