Nominations Open: 2018 MFG Excellence Awards
Manufacturers make exceptional contributions to
the state of Michigan, including the economy, their
workforce, our communities and the industry. Help
us celebrate manufacturing excellence by nominating
a deserving individual, exceptional company or
noteworthy product for th e 2018 MFG Excellence
Awards. The Awards will be presented 11/8/18 in
East Lansing during a prestigious evening of celebration
and recognition to honor the rich history of Michigan
manufacturing and its bright future.
Awards Categories
John G. Thodis Michigan Manufacturer of the Year
Honors the important, positive and tangible
contributions individual manufacturers and companies
make to their employees, customers and communities.
Awarded to an individual in the small tier category
(less than 201 employees) or awarded to an individual
or company in the large tier category (more than
200 employees).
MFG Community Impact
Recognizes a company that has shown exemplary
leadership in serving its community or state, and embodies
the involved and giving nature of manufacturers.
MFG Emerging Leader
Recognizes a manufacturing leader who has
been involved in the industry for less than 12 years
for exceptional contributions to manufacturing
now and into the future.
MFG Innovation Excellence
Recognizes a company that has introduced
noteworthy innovations to advance the industry
and created a culture to facilitate innovation.
MFG Talent Champion
Recognizes an individual or program that works
to connect manufacturers and educators to create a
winning talent solution.
MFG Lifetime Achievement
Honors an individual who has excelled in the
industry and inspires peers, emerging leaders, lawmakers
and educators to strive to make significant contributions
to their company, industry and community.
“Coolest Thing Made in Michigan”
New this year, we will award the new People’s Choice
Award to highlight the coolest product manufactured
in Michigan. Anyone can nominate; submit a photo
of your favorite Michigan-made product (including
where it’s made and what it is) to [email protected],
post it to our Facebook page or tag us on Twitter or
Instagram (@MIManufacturers) with #coolestmimfg .
Self-nominations are encouraged for all catetories.
