2019 MFG Excellence Awards
The deadline is near to submit nominations for
the 2019 MFG Excellence Awards. Share the stories
of leadership, innovation and more. Nominations
close 5:00 p.m. Friday, 8/23/19. Self-nominations
are encouraged for all categories. Nominate online

Nominate a deserving individual, exceptional
company or noteworthy product in one of the eight
categories below and join us in November for the
2019 MFG Excellence Awards ceremony and dinner.
Award Categories
John G. Thodis Michigan Manufacturer of the Year
Honors the important, positive and tangible
contributions individual manufacturers and companies
make to their employees, customers and communities.
Awarded to an individual in the small tier category
(less than 200 employees) or a company in the large
tier category (more than 200 employees).
2018 MFG Excellence Award winners for Emerging Leader, Lifetime
Achievement and Manufacturer of the Year. Go to mimfg.org to
meet past winners in all categories.
MFG Community Impact
Recognizes a company that has shown exemplary
leadership in serving its community or state, and is
an example of the involved and giving nature
of manufacturers.
MFG Emerging Leader
Recognizes a manufacturing leader who has been
involved in the industry for less than 12 years for
exceptional contributions to the industry now
and into the future.
MFG Innovation Excellence
Recognizes a company that has introduced notewor-
thy innovations to advance the industry
and created a culture to facilitate innovation.
MFG Woman of the Year New in 2019!
Honors the roles women play in manufacturing, her
significant achievements in the industry and positive
impacts within her company and community.

Honors an individual who has excelled in the industry
and inspires peers, emerging leaders, lawmakers and
educators to strive to make significant contributions
to their company, industry and community.
MFG Talent Champion
Recognizes an individual or program that works to
connect manufacturers and educators to create a
winning talent program.
“Coolest Thing Made in Michigan”
Highlights the coolest product manufacturered in
Michigan. To nominate: Submit a photo (including
where it’s made and what it is) by sending it directly
to [email protected], posting it to our Facebook page
or tag us on Twitter or Instagram with #coolestmimfg .
About the MFG Excellence Awards
Manufacturers make exceptional contributions
to the state of Michigan, including the economy,
their workforce, our communities and the industry.
The Awards will be presented 11/7/19 in East
Lansing during a prestigious evening of celebration
and recognition to honor the rich history and bright
future of Michigan manufacturing.
