Recognized as the number one designer in Silicon Valley for anyone requiring the cool factor in special spaces his extraordinarily futuristic take on lighting, furniture and interiors is a direct result of his love of sci-fi movies and automotive design.

Ben Rousseau, has the latest addition to his Bubble Chair collection; Rousseau’s own interpretation of the classic 1960’s design.

The original bubble chair was designed in 1968 by Finnish Designer, Eero Aarnio, who’s style was influenced by Bond villains and Playmates alike.

Of his Bubble Chair series, he says, “I always loved the original by Aarnio, because it is such an iconic 60s design and yet it has never dated. Bubble Chairs look as good by the side of a pool or hanging from a tree as they do within contemporary apartments or town houses.”

In 2008 Rousseau launched his collection paying homage to this classic design. His interpretation being a specially engineered steel ring containing LEDs, so that the Bubble Chair could be illuminated as an engraved artwork.
