" We have completely redesigned the camera in the Huawei P30 Pro to feature an all new Leica Quad Camera that is an industry world-first. This ground breaking design doesn't just leave other smartphone cameras behind, it rivals most professional camera setups, day or night.
We have done this by adapting the color filter, changing greens to yellows, and allowing the camera to capture more light. The lenses have also been redesigned, from an Ultra Wide-Angle lens to take in the big picture to brand new sensors and wider apertures that raise the standard of low light photography. Finally, the zoom lens has been recreated as a periscope to provide outstanding detail, even from a distance"
So what makes the Huawei P30 Pro Special?
When it comes to photography it delivers up to four times the light sensitivity of many professional DSLR cameras, resulting in jaw-dropping images never seen before from a smartphone.
The zoom is what is having the world go crazy! Want to get up close? Super Macro Mode means crystal clear photography down to 2.5 cm, so you can shoot the grains of pollen on a flower or the wing of an insect in sharp focus.
The Periscope Zoom Lens offers 5x Optical, 10X Hybrid and 50x Digital. This is allowing people to capture photos that you just cannot get with any other smartphone.
The most useful "zoom mode is the 5x option. When sharing some photos on my FB, Leica photographer Alex Lambrechts said "Keep it in Photo/Auto mode, the quality of the Master AI is so improved. This device is a real game-changer, the 5x optical and enhanced AI make this a serious piece of kit. The photos are good enough for printing for exhibition and magazine. The 5X gives us 135mm equivalent focal length. This device has the biggest improvements in terms of photography experience from any previous model to date"
Night mode is also beyond this world. Shooting in low light has never been more satisfying, and only when you try it you will understand why it is a game changer. Shooting in the dark has become one of my favorite things to do.
And how can I not mention the front-facing camera for those selfie lovers! The Huawei P30 Pro has a whooping 32-megapixel selfie camera.
What can I say, I have been playing with the Huawei P30 Pro for just over a month now and I'm in heaven! Thank you to Huawei Spain for the invite to the Paris launch, what a blast we had!
Last year's Huawei's P20 Series sold over 16 million units globally, thanks to the strong innovation of the camera that enabled users to take perfect shots. With the P30 series, Huawei has taken its product innovation a step further.
