ELLIE VANDOORNE

Ellie Vandoorne is an artist with an emphasis on illustration and graphic design. Working in a number of mediums, she draws most of her inspiration from nature and literature making her work intriguingly refreshing and yet familiar.

Vandoorne grew up in France and the UK before moving to Sydney to study graphic design and illustration. In 2012 she moved back to Europe and continued work as a graphic designer and illustrator.

2015 saw Vandoorne hold her first solo exhibition which was a sell out with works like Flower Girl catching the eye of fashion designer Matthew Williamson which led to them collaborating on the cover of his book ‘Matthew Williamson: Fashion, Print and Colouring Book’ in 2016.

Since then, Ellie Vandoorne has been shortlisted for numerous awards and exhibits regularly within the London art scene.
Vandoorne is probably best known for her eye-catching female portraits. These bright coloured mixed media collages feature women in profile with headdresses made of flowers, butterflies, birds, and are a popular choice amongst interior designers. Her works have become increasingly sought after by private and corporate collectors alike.
