What is the most positive piece of advice you pass on to people you meet....

I always tell people to see everything as a challenge and to look for the solution. If you’re worried whether you can achieve something, start by viewing it as a challenge rather than an intimidating task, then look to understand the solution and how you can achieve the desired outcome. Once you’ve done that, execute methodically.

What is the most positive song on your play list.

My playlists have been replaced by podcasts and I get a huge sense of positivity listening to how successful entrepreneurs have tackled challenges and gone on to discover incredibly successful solutions.

My personal favourite,

Masters of Scale with Reid Hoffman.

How do you deal with negative people....

I try to surround myself with positive people as the effects are compounded. Unfortunately, we all have good days and bad days so I will always consider the position of someone with a negative mindset and offer any advice I may have, but I will likely take a step back from there if the negativity persists.

What is the most positive film you have watched...

I recently watched Moneyball which is based

on the true story of the Oakland A baseball

team whose 2002 season transformed how

teams are selected today.

It depicts a fascinating story of the general

manager taking on a revolutionary, and highly

criticised, approach to the game and outsmarting

the richer clubs by using a quantitative selection

process to identify undervalued players.

I found it to be a great example of going

against the trend, having conviction during

hard times and believing in the plan you have

put together.
