I’m a huge endorser of a good night’s sleep. Rarely will I interrupt my sleep for a crack of dawn alarm call to exercise since so much of the body’s repairing happens whilst we sleep, including skin rejuvenation. Dermalogica’s aptly named ‘Sound Sleep Cocoon’ £72.50 hydrates skin while French Lavender Essential Oil (with Sandalwood and Patchouli) soothes the senses for a restful sleep. Fruit extracts promote also radiant texture with vitamin C giving a brighter skin tone. It’s a pleasure to use.

If you want to use your sleep time to enhance collagen production and speed up cellular turnover then try Medik8. Their Crystal Retinal is formulated with retinaldehyde, a super-charged derivative of vitamin A which plumps and resurfaces skin, visibly minimising fine lines and wrinkles to deliver a healthy, youthful, more even toned complexion.
