MilliOnAir presents the King and Queen of the aesthetic world - Doctor Ioannis Liakas and Vicky Grammatikopoulou.

Their clients include  celebrities, top models - and even royalty. Ioannis is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, senior lecturer at Queen Mary’s Medical School and an associate member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine.

Before moving into the business side of aesthetics, Vicky was a teacher trainer and university lecturer.

Together they are Vie Aesthetics, and run leading clinics in Harley Street, Germany and Southend.

My mum insists on going to Belgium to have her aesthetic treatment. She says spending a few days there  means no one suspects she is having anything done and it is cheaper.  My sister and I added it up and with the train  and stay it is far from cheaper and we do not like the results. The doctor suggests a lower face lift next, she is only 42 there must be something simpler at her age. What would you advise?

I would hazard at a guess your mother being only 42, is too young for a lower surgical face lift. Obviously, I would have to see her for a consultation and then take it from there.

A few suggestions for your mother that would give her results (for the lower face)  close to surgery would be HIFU (high frequency focused ultrasound). The results of that can be further enhanced by threads, collagen stimulating fillers, and many more options. Finally, on the going abroad issue; we would advise against that, as if there are any possible complications after surgery, they can understandably be better and quicker dealt with in the UK, rather than your mother having to travel back and forth.
