I don’t always write about Women’s Day, but after meeting Prof Emre Alkin PhD from Turkey, a fellow Key Opinion Leader during a business trip in Barcelona a few days ago, I knew I had to this year and also ask for his views since he lives in a country where women’s rights have not always been a top priority.

What do we actually celebrate? It’s a global day where women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.
