What is your motto that you live by?
I believe in life anything is possible! if you just take small steps and chip away at that mountain eventually you will get to the top.
You are a UK business how did you break into China?
Having researched and prepared Wake for China I now had to find away of entry into the Market, this happened by chance through the director of the Chinese British Business council who introduced me to serial entrepreneur Jim James who was based in Beijing and who was co-founder of the British Motorsports Festival. Jim and his team worked with Wake to get the product approved for China as well as carrying out the logistics of sales and distribution and Chinese PR, from there the brand has grown from strength to strength.
Who inspires you in business?
''I really admire what Elon Musk has achieved with Tesla, he has truly revolutionized the automotive sector and encouraged a broader movement of consumers to get excited about electric vehicles after decades of indoctrination about motor power, Something that I hope to change with the Sports/Energy drink market and make it a healthier environment for the consumer''
Whats keep you going in business?
Inner belief and passion I suppose, I truly believe that Wake is one of the best Sports drinks on the market and therefore I feel it is my duty to try and make Wake become a household name.
Do you have any personal goals?
Set aside from ambitions with Wake, in my personal life I participate in various Watersports such as kitesurfing, wakeboarding, but in particular Barefoot Water Skiing (skiing on the soles of your feet at 40 mph!!), anyway later on in the year I attend the World Barefoot Center in Florida where it is my goal to learn how to do a forward front somersault "wake to wake' behind the boat, very difficult and challenging so lots of exercise and training will be needed- wish me luck!!
