communications and investor relations, then became a personal
trainer and nutrition counselor. Her latest career, that of AMAZING
LASH franchise owner, is particularly satisfying. “I was diagnosed with
Stage IV Hodgkin’s disease in 2015, and a friend dragged me to get eyelash
extensions after my hair and lashes fell out,” Abehaus says. “It might sound superficial, but there
was something totally empowering about how I felt afterward.”
Abehaus opened Amazing Lash in March with the goal of helping women on an individual level,
much as she did as a fitness and nutrition counselor. She says, “What I love about this company is
the quality of its products and services. We use medical-grade surgical glue for our extensions and
have a patented application process, as well as an all-natural cosmetics line.” Clients can choose
from different lengths and thicknesses; services include a full set of extensions, a refill, or a touch-up.
Amazing Lash clients include millennials and women in their 40s looking to condense their
beauty routines, as well as cancer patients. With an introductory offer of $79.99 and money-saving
memberships available, Abehaus says, “We bring affordability to what was once only for Hollywood
celebrities.”

Rosemary Bergamini’s shop, A HOUSE OF
WIGS, they can expect more than a wide
selection of merchandise. They will get that,
but they will also get compassion and under-
standing. Many of these women are cancer
patients dealing with chemotherapy-induced
hair loss; Bergamini is herself a cancer survivor.
She says, “Many of my customers want to talk
about their experiences or learn about what
to expect during treatment; it’s nice to be able
to help them that way.”
Not all visitors to A House of Wigs are
cancer patients; Bergamini’s clientele includes
sufferers of alopecia and other conditions, as
well as a number of Orthodox Jewish women.
All of them will find a wide range of top-
quality wigs, natural, synthetic or blended,
in a wide range of prices. They will also find
hair accessories and wig-specific hair care
products. An initial consultation is free and
can be done in a customer’s home, if desired.
