DINING ROOM Pamela’s holiday table is an extension of the garden theme, with dried flowers and natural centerpieces. In the chandelier are dried hydrangea blooms that have been spray-painted gold. The centerpiece consists of large pinecones that were glued into a clay pot and sprayed silver. Artificial moss at the base conceals the joint. To make it more festive, Pamela found mini battery-operated lights that she twisted inside the pinecones. The napkins are held with store-bought artificial cranberry napkin rings. “Holly doesn’t keep very well – it tends to curl – but there’s no reason why you can’t use artificial berries for a pop of color,” explains Pamela. The hands of the female statue are decorated with green ribbon, sprigs of evergreen and fresh cranberries, and tied with some wire. ➤ 31
