THE CLUB ROOM “The goal for the dining room design was to make it approachable and playful, but with formality,” Todd Katz says. “The custom built-in bar area is the backdrop to the room, and the displayed liquor speaks to a SoHo House kind of feel.” Classic club-style elements, such as the coffered ceiling and straight lines of the bar and shelving, combine with contemporary influences, such as the sculptural base of the table, the popular deep blue of the comfortable, stain-resistant chairs and the blown glass artwork on the table. Yoshida-Katz designed the light fixture, whose material shade can be compressed and elon- gated like an accordion. Cabinetry beneath and to the side of the bar allows for ample storage, as does the large wine refrigerator seen on the left side of the photo. > FALL 2017 MILLBURN & SHORT HILLS MAGAZINE 51
