Though the living room was brand new, it
looked outdated, says Yoshida-Katz. She
resurfaced the fireplace, replacing its round
stones, and set it off with the dark gray. The
custom-made sectional from Italy creates an
oasis where the family can gather and relax.
There is also ample room for sitting on the
floor between the sectional and the table,
purchased from a retail store in Italy.
Bookshelves, which are integrated into the
other side of the couch, are visible from
the kitchen beyond the archway.
