Open since last April, the SOOTHING ZEN DAY SPA offers a wide range of massage options, reflecting owner Ying Li’s years of
experience in the field. “Our signature treatment is a bamboo massage,” says Li. “We also offer a Thai massage, which is similar to a
yoga session. Our lava shell massage is like a hot stone massage, but because it has continuous heat for a longer period of time, we
can reach deeper muscle tissues.”
An especially popular treatment is foot reflexology. “We use a zero-gravity recliner, which totally relaxes the legs and feet,
and 100% organic coconut-based lotions, oils and scrubs,” says Li. “This has been a superstar treatment since the day we opened.”
Rounding out the menu are waxing and a variety of facials, which are customized to the client’s individual skin type and issues.
Prices: Reflexology $35/30 minutes; standard massage $69/60 minutes; Thai massage is a $25 upgrade; lava shell massage is a
$19 upgrade.

It is lighting that sets DH Design Hub apart from other
studios. “Sol was in the lighting business for over 30 years
before opening DH,” says in-house design consultant Linda
Graupe. “This gives us an advantage. It’s uncommon for a design
studio to have such expertise in this area.” Shem-Tov’s extensive
knowledge of lighting allows him to advise customers on fixtures
ranging from opulent crystal chandeliers to contemporary pendant lights made of raw steel. “We want to be a major home
furnishings and design source for this area,” says Shem-Tov.
