ON THE FINANCIAL SUMMARY

To the Reeve and Council of the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No.124:
The accompanying 2017 financial summary for the year then ended is derived from the audited
financial statements of the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No.124 for the year ended
December 31, 2017. We expressed an unmodified audit opinion on those financial statements
in our report dated March 28, 2018. Those financial statements, and the 2017 financial summary,
do not reflect the effects of events that occurred subsequent to the date of our report on those
financial statements.
The 2017 financial summary does not contain all the disclosures required by Canadian public
sector accounting standards. Reading the 2017 financial summary, therefore, is not a substitute
for reading the audited financial statements of the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No.124.
Management’s Responsibility for the 2017 Financial Summary
Management is responsible for the preparation of the 2017 financial summary in accordance
with Canadian public sector accounting standards.
Auditors’ Responsibility
Our responsibility is to express an opinion on the 2017 financial summary based on our
procedures, which were conducted in accordance with Canadian Auditing Standard 810 —
Engagements to Report on Summary Financial Statements.
Opinion
In our opinion, the 2017 financial summary, derived from the audited financial statements
of the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No.124 for the year ended December 31, 2017
is a fair summary of those financial statements, in accordance with Canadian public sector
accounting standards.
