The Great Trail Completed in time for Canada’s 150th anniversary of confederation, The Great Trail lays claim to the world’s longest uninterrupted network of recreational trails. This coast-to-coast marvel offers an abundance of activities through a variety of landscapes: wilderness, urban, rural, greenways, blueways (rivers) and roadways. Five distinct segments of The Great Trail run right through Lesser Slave River, providing breathtaking sights ranging from boreal wilderness and pristine meandering rivers to the vast Lesser Slave Lake itself.
