The WomanUP! 2019 Event

It. Was. Awesome.

More than 500 men and women (including 7 brilliant Moxi ladies) gathered at the Loews Coronado Resort in Coronado, CA for the 2-day event to soak up all of the goodness WomanUP! had to offer. Impressive speakers, candid panels, and motivating “mic drop moments” left the crowd buzzing with conversation at the end of each segment. There was laughing, crying, amazing food, intriguing data, an abundance of inspiring stories, and more “ah ha” moments than we could count.

Within a minute of arriving at the event, it became clear to all of us from MoxiWorks that the WomanUP! community is just that; a community. Whether it’s via the initiative’s Facebook group, through its fast-growing yearly events, or its many networking opportunities throughout the year, those who support WomanUP! are extremely inviting, inclusive, and supportive. They make a conscious effort to learn your name, shake your hand, and find out how they can help you drive your career forward, from the moment you walk in the door.

According to the WomanUP! website, the initiative strives to give woman (and those who support woman) support, guidance, resources, and tools they need to excel in their careers. The event clearly worked to do just that.
