Inside the facility, fertilizer is loaded into a metal hopper (left), where it will be elevated to the tower. At right the photo shows the spout where mixed fertilizer is dumped into trucks. A streamlined system Lighted buttons (below) indicate which bin will be fi lled. To control the location, a wheel is turned until the correct bin lights up. A similar system is used during the blending pro- cess. Below, Scott Nelson controls which bins will be emptied and mixed together. Each fertilizer order is documented by product type, customer name, date, and delivery driver. Many customers order a variety of blends, depending on the needs of each specifi c fi eld. Customers also have the option of utilizing variable-rate technology (VRT), which involves soil sampling to measure precise fertil- izer needs. Ready for the field Mid-County Agronomy uses Case IH fertilizer applicators for fertilizer application. The computerized machines have 70-foot booms, and deliver highly accurate applications. These units use satellite guided steering, GPS tracking and, of course...cruise control. We’re here to serve you To place your fertilizer order, contact Mid-County Agronomy at (952) 466-3730 .
