While Steve focuses on sales, soil sampling, and mapping, he also handles everything from application to customer support. Steve explains, “I do a little bit of everything to help keep things rolling smoothly for our customers’ needs.” Jon Wulf has been a truck mechanic at Mid-County for almost two years. He enjoys working on over-the-road trucks of any size, but the bigger trucks are his favorite. “With larger vehicles, there is more to take apart and fi gure out. It is a bigger puzzle, and I like that challenge,” he explains. Jon likes the relaxed attitude of his co-workers at Mid- County and appreciates having fun at work. However, when it comes to mechanics, Jon takes his job seriously. When someone comes in with a problem, he is determined to solve it and get people back on the road as soon as possible. Growing up on a family farm gave Steve his start in agriculture. On the farm, he learned the business of raising grain and livestock. He also owned a business in the construction fi eld for 20 years. At Mid-County he combines his agricultural and business knowledge to help farmers with their unique needs. When Steve is not assisting Mid- County customers, you may fi nd him enjoying a fi let steak with a nice glass of cabernet and spending time with his family. This winter, Jon enjoyed snowmobiling and playing with his kids out in the snow. As spring approaches, he looks forward to the garden season. Some of the vegetables he plans to grow include tomatoes, green beans, and peppers.
