STAFF SPOTLIGHT Page 8 www.midcountycoop.com Mid-County Coop is proud to sponsor the Theresa Hoen Feist Memorial Foundation The family of Theresa (Hoen) Feist has been a strong supporter of Mid-County Coop for years, and now, we’re grateful for the opportunity to return the favor. Our co-op sponsors the Theresa Hoen Feist Memorial Foundation, which offers scholarships for Carver County Dairy Princesses. Theresa passed away in 2008, at the age of 38. She was a true farm girl, and had been in charge of organizing the Carver County Dairy Princess Program. She also enjoyed showing calves, judging animals at the county fair, and promoting the 4-H program. Theresa grew up in Cologne, the daughter of Rose and Leonard Hoen Jr. Leonard has been a member of the Mid- County Coop board of directors for over 25 years, and is the current vice president. A few of Theresa’s other close relatives include her husband, Darin; children – April, Kendall, Greta, and Holly; and brothers Tom, John, Steve, Mike, and Matt. Bob Padden Bob Padden has been working as a petroleum delivery driver at Mid-County Coop for the past 14 years. His duties include delivering fuel and motor oil for the company. Bob has a total of more than 37 years of petroleum delivery experience. He currently resides in Waverly, where he enjoys music and biking. Mark Eggers Mark Eggers is known as the “jack of all trades” at Mid-County Coop, but his offi cial title is custom applicator. Mark applies fertilizer in the spring and fall, sprays chemicals on crops in the summer, and does repair of facilities and equipment during his downtime. He grew up on a dairy farm in Gotha (just south of Cologne), and spent 17 years of his career milking cows. He was hired at Mid-County Agronomy in 2006, and is glad he can continue to be part of the local agricultural community. When he’s not at Mid-County Agronomy, Mark enjoys farming with his dad. Mark and his wife have six children, and he is involved in many of their school activities and sporting events, serving as a coach, referee, umpire, and more.
