Mid-County introduces Steve Solmonson Steve Solmonson With more than 35 years of fuel driving experience, Mid-County Energy’s fuel driver Steve Solmonson knows how to bring good service to all his customers. “I like it when customers call and ask if Steve can make a delivery,” Solmonson said. He had driven the Long Lake route for Mayer Distributing before Mid-County purchased the fixed base route portion in December 2008. Now, he drives the same Long Lake route for Mid-County. For Solmonson, the best part of his job is meeting new people and dealing with customers. He also likes to bring treats for his customers’ dogs. Solmonson has lived in Mound since 1981. He and his wife have three children and five grandchildren. Music and entertaining are Solmonson’s favorite hob- bies, and he has played with the Daisy Dillman band for more than 30 years. In his spare time, Solmonson enjoys reading, as well as hunting, fishing, camping, and other outdoor activities. In December Mid-County acquired the fi xed base route portion of Mayer Dis- tributing in Long Lake, an arrangement that is now benfi ting customers as well as both companies.
