Rich grew up in Chaska, and graduated from Chaska High School. He started working for the family business, Minnesota Valley Oil in Carver with his father, Arlan Pauly, in the 1980s. Mid- County Coop purchased the company in 2000. Throughout the years, Rich has been involved in the sales and transport of bulk and consumer fuels. He joined Mid-County Coop in August 2014, and is looking forward to being part of the energy sales team. When he’s not at work, Rich enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include hunting and other outdoor activities. We have B10 biodiesel This past summer, Minnesota took the next step in renewable fuel by implementing a 10 percent biodiesel (B10) blend- ing requirement. In 2015 and beyond, B10 will be in effect April 1 through September 30. The remainder of the year, #2 diesel will contain 5 percent biodiesel (B5). Though the minimum requirement ranges from 5 percent to 10 percent depending on the time of year, you can always use a higher percentage of bio diesel in your equipment. Mid-County’s off road equipment will use up to 20 percent bio during certain times of the year. Many times Manufacturer warranties limit the amount to 20 percent, but we have customers who have successfully used much higher blends. Contact our Energy Team to learn more about bio diesel op- tions. If you or someone you care for needs help in paying for their winter heating costs, there is help available through the Min- nesota Energy Assistance Program. To get further information and apply, contact the agency serving your county. Grants are “first-come” so apply as soon as possible.
