Buildings on both sites have ramped access and toilets designed for people with disabilities. The sites are equipped with a lift suitable for wheelchair users. There are automatic doors on all entrances and exits, semi-automatic internal doors and a deaf-alert fire alarm system. The Study Centre helps full-time and part-time students develop and improve English, Mathematics and IT skills, time management and personal organisation. Students can access regular help with understanding, researching and writing assignments and proofreading. A range of specialist equipment is available. Well-qualified and experienced support tutors work with individuals in class or in a dedicated study area and educational support assistants who enable learners to participate fully in their studies and college life in general. Please let us know if you are a wheelchair user, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing, have mental health difficulties or a medical condition, such as epilepsy, ADHD or Asperger’s Syndrome. Specialist assessment and support is also provided for students with dyslexia. Careers Guidance Some people know what job they want from an early age and how to get there. For others it’s not so easy but don’t worry if you’re not sure what to do next. We can help you in a number of ways: * Before you start at Mid Cheshire College we can help you decide which is the most appropriate course to lead you to your dream career. * Whilst you are at the College, your ideas may change and we can help you find out which career would suit you based on your interests and your abilities. * We can help you c reate an action plan to make sure you achieve your chosen option - whether this is further education, training or getting into work.
