Health and safety rules and industry regulations. * Level 2 - Preparation for work in the brickwork trade, copings, indents, toothings, extensions, garden walls and cavities. * Level 3 - Skills and knowledge to work to an advanced level e.g. erecting complex structural components. Carpentry & Joinery Diploma (Level 1, 2 & 3) Length of Course Each level of the course runs for one year Courses Include: * Level 1 - Basic carpentry and joinery skills including mortice and tenon joints and dovetail joints and using hand tools. Health and safety rules and industry regulations. * Level 2 - Preparation for work in the carpentry and joinery trade. Hanging doors, pitched roofs and using a range of portable power tools. * Level 3 - Skills and knowledge to work at an advanced level in the industry e.g. erecting complex structural components. Plumbing (Level 1, 2 & 3) Length of Course Each level of the course runs for one year Courses Include: * Level 1 - Basic plumbing pipework and fittings. Health and safety rules and industry regulations. * Level 2 to 3 - Preparation for work in the plumbing trade. Hot and cold water systems, electrics, unvented hot water systems and environmental technologies, water regulations and central heating control methodology. Painting and Decorating Diploma (Level 1 & 2) Length of Course Each level of the course runs for one year Courses Include: * Level 1 - Basic painting and decorating skills, preparing surfaces, applying paints and plain papers and applying decorative finishes. Health and safety rules and industry regulations. * Level 2 - Further skills as required by the industry. Electrical Installation (Level 2 & 3) Length of Course Each level of the course runs for one year Courses Include: * Preparation for work in the electrical trade. * Practical and theory in the areas of electrical science, theory and regulations. * Wiring systems, inspection and testing.
