The fashion studios are based in the new £7.5 million state-of-the-art Centre for Creative Arts. In addition to the design and pattern cutting workshops, fashion students have the use of a dedicated IT suite featuring industry-standard Adobe and Gerber digital design and plotting software. BTEC Extended Diploma in Fashion & Clothing (Level 3)
Length of Course 2 years – equivalent to 3 GCE A levels Course Includes * Fashion illustration techniques, trend prediction, styling, textiles, pattern cutting and manufacturing skills. * Historical development of fashion. * Industry and employment within fashion. * Production of garments for end of year fashion show.
BTEC Extended Diploma in Photography (Level 3)
Length of Course 2 years – equivalent to 3 GCE A levels Course Includes * Studio still life, portraiture, advertising, editorial, newspaper and technical photography. * Camera types and lighting techniques. * New digital technologies. * Design history, photographic theory, computer graphics and business studies.
