Graphic Design Explore the exciting world of Graphic Design, combining traditional and new technology.
The department has established a national reputation for its high standard of student achievement. Excellent studio facilities support the programme, which includes a large design studio and an integrated Apple Mac suite with industry standard software including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Students experience all aspects of graphic design including advertising, illustration, magazine and CD design, logos, packaging and specialist computer illustration.
BTEC Diploma in Digital Imaging (Level 2)
Length of Course 1 year Course Includes * Photography, film and animation. * Digital media. * Projects using digital cameras, digital video, animation and character modelling. * Creating a showreel.
BTEC Extended Diploma in Graphic Design (Level 3)
Length of Course 2 years – equivalent to 3 GCE A levels Course Includes * Techniques for graphic designers and/or illustrators. * Layout design, visualising, or illustrations, including idea generation, typography and design for print. * Using industry standard computer graphic applications.

4 GCSEs at grade D or above or equivalent, or a Level 1 qualification. Plus a satisfactory portfolio. 4 GCSEs at grade A* – C or equivalent, or a BTEC Diploma/Level 2 qualification. Plus a satisfactory portfolio.
