CASE 1 Danielle Kinsey BTEC Level 3 Applied Science and Student of the Year Danielle will study Human Nutrition at The University of Chester. CASE 4 Resourced Based Learning The core delivery of some programme pathways will contain an element of Resources Based Learning (RBL). This will be an opportunity for learners to access extra online learning and assessment tasks via the College’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Attendance Students can expect to attend college for a minimum of 3 days per week. Monitoring and Progress Students have to attend College regularly and act with responsibility during their course. Attendance and progress is carefully monitored and it is the College’s aim, with the students’ permission, to keep parents/guardians informed through parents’ evenings and end of year reports. Discipline The College is proud of the secure environment it provides for students. All students are given a code of conduct which helps them to ensure that the environment in which they are learning is the most enjoyable for themselves and other students. In the unlikely event that your son or daughter breaches any of the College’s rules there is a clear Disciplinary Procedure which will be followed. Higher Education Opportunities Mid Cheshire College is a great place for students to continue their education, it offers a wide variety of ‘Further E ducation’ (post-16) courses and also a varied selection of Foundation Degrees and HNC/HNDs. CASE 2 A Lawyer and Pilot in the making Megan Humphrey and fellow business student Jordan Oates successfully completed the BTEC Level 2 in Business before progressing to the Level 3 Extended Diploma. Megan will study Law at The University of Manchester. Jordan wants to be a commercial pilot and will study aviation management at Coventry University. Sarah de l’ Ecluse BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care Sarah will study Adult Nursing at The University of Chester.
