Apprenticeships
New opportunities to achieve a degree level equivalent
qualification. Higher Apprenticeships give you the chance
to achieve a degree level equivalent qualification at
Level 4 which will help improve the world class skills that
employers need to drive growth.
APPRENTICESHIPS
Apprenticeships are open to anyone
aged over 16. Entry requirements
are flexible because progression on
to this Higher Apprenticeship may
be from a wide number of routes
due to the varying backgrounds and
past academic and work related
experiences of apprentices.
The Higher Apprenticeship has
been designed to be suitable
for candidates from any sector
or industry.

You will agree a learning plan
with your employer and Mid
Cheshire College and a training
programme will be planned for you.
Your employer will provide a safe
working environment and will work
together with the College to ensure
you achieve your qualifications.
You will gain practical experience,
skills and knowledge from
working in your chosen area of
employment. You will be expected
to work normal working hours for
your employer whilst completing
the Level 4 qualification. This will
include the National Vocational
Qualification (QCF) by completing
a portfolio demonstrating your
competence at work, a Technical
Certificate and any relevant
Functional/Key Skills that may be
required e.g. English, maths and IT.
Dependent on prior qualifications
there may be a need to attend
college sessions.

Apprenticeship in Accounting
Level 4 – Higher
Apprenticeship in Business &
Professional Administration
Level 4 – Higher
Apprenticeship in IT, Software,
Web & Telecoms Professionals
Level 4 – Higher
Apprenticeship in Engineering
Level 5 – Higher
Apprenticeship in Leadership &
Management
Eligibility Criteria:
If you already have a
qualification at Level 4 or
above you will not be eligible
for any co-funding.
APPRENTICESHIPS
You will work in partnership
with your employer and Mid
Cheshire College studying for the
qualification that you have chosen.
