This year’s Autumn Rally was almost a ‘foodies tour’ with great food, scenery, fun and friendship for the whole weekend. 22 cars, a few novices, lots of regulars, and lots of laughs. Ian and Pam Prior arranged a wonderful route, including getting to know some small local towns (I’ve never been to Ruffy before!), some wonderful scenery and some very quaint bridges. The theme dinner ‘Aussie Jingles’ really got the imaginations going, with a trip down memory lane back to the days of Zig and Zag, the Milky Bar Kid, Ic Pota, B&D Roller Doors and many modern day classics, such as Katut and Rhonda, and the Bundy Bears. Winners of this year’s Rally were: 1st place: The Prez – Doug Morrisey and Frankie Elms 1st MGA: Lance Crawshaw and Sara Russell 1st Novices: Robert and Anne Stamp Winners of the best dressed were: Susan Weatherby – Aeroplane Jelly, Paul Vermont – B&D Roller Doors, Judy and Mike Pitcon – Zig and Zag. Another highlight of the Rally, and again showing the brilliance, creativity Doug and Franki – Outright winners Page 38 Captain Linda Hayhow Vice Captain Jim McKenzie Secretary David Hutchings Treasurer David Ritchie Registrar David Lloyd Committee Barry Richards Paul Vermont Rob Wilson Ian Prior Lance Crawshaw 0407 9842 9592 0409 0417 0418 9844 9306 9899 0400 553 674 4271 9080 438 432 332 226 128 825 2892 2497 3711 838 853 The Milky Bar Kid and a Happy Little Vegemiter (Lance Crawshaw and Sara Russell) Photos by Robin Page (and perhaps desperation to score extra points) of our participants, was the jingle competition.
