DAY 2018
T
he Club received a request to pro-
vide four cars for this event at
Colley Reserve, Glenelg on 28 Decem-
ber 2018.
The forecast was for 39 degrees, but
within half a kilometre of Glenelg the
temperature dropped to a very accept-
able level and there was a strong sea
breeze, bad for the competitors running
into it, but good for us. There were two
TC’s, Athur Ruediger and Dick Man-
ning, and Berry Treffers and Alan Card-
nell arrived in MGB’s.
I will let the photos tell the story, four
MG’s requested but fourteen bodies to
fit in. Occupational Health and Safety
representatives were fortunately not at
the event.
Some impressive young athletes raced
on the day. There was also a Celebrity
Race, and, being an avid Crows fan, I
have included a photo of the winner,
Cam Ellis Youlman from the Adelaide
Football Club. Well done Cam.
