Register meeting 2 August at 12 The
Walk Coromandel Valley, host Thane
Martin.
B
illed as Thane’s RAA garage, it was
certainly roadside service at The
Walk provided by Thane in his immacu-
lately clean abode that night, filled to
capacity with what could be described
again as an intimate gathering of the
Register.
Our sincere thanks to Thane who took
time off work to sluice out the floor and
even wash the pavers on the driveway
in anticipation of the Castrol GTX oil
slicks that would surely be evident after
the T’s had departed.
A total of 37 signed in, 5 register vehi-
cles were driven to the meeting, three
managed the short incline to the ga-
rage, one did not , apparently the 30
year old restoration of Russell’s TF is
now in need of a revisitation into the
realm of clutch and gearbox to start
with.
I really should not be unkind to Russell,
however he did break with tradition and
drive to the meeting with the hood up !
The relatively low numbers of T Types
attending on the night is attributed to the
Weatherzone website and the BOM app

ley. Actually it did rain marginally.
Apologies:
A considerable number
called in to say that they were going
overseas, most at the meeting did not
care really but I must mention the follow-
ing: P Auld, I Hobbs, I Buckley, P Cundy,
G & A McLean , P Shipside, all enjoying
the sun on the otherside of the globe.
Others include G Brice (medical) , B
Forth, S Ewart, P Wallace,
Pearsons D & J, & The Ghost who
“Walks” Don.
I must mention our old mate, the feisty
Mike Lyons who is seriously ill in hospital
at this time, thankyou Graham Loader
for keeping us informed.
Reg O’Malley mentioned that Jackie is
not in a good way either with her leg is-
sues etc, we asked Reg to pass on our
sincere best wishes to her.
Ray Finch was owed an apology from
me, I overlooked his apology last time.
Welcome back Kotter: A few old faces
turned up who we have not seen for a
while. Messers Geoff Glasson, Doc
Whyatt, & Roly Harris.
