CLUB MEMBER OF THE YEAR

Objective:
To recognise the member who participated in the
most club events during a calendar year.
The ‘Club Member of the Year’ is recognised by re-
ceiving a trophy at the AGM, and their name on the
‘Club Member of the Year’ honour board.
Eligibility:
All financial members of the MG Car Club of SA are
eligible to win the award.
Eligible Events:
Nominated events that are in the club calendar and
are marked with a notation that attendance at this
event attracts a point towards club member of the
year. Additional events can be considered, event
coordinators to notify Secretary of those events.

NOTE: events that limit the numbers of attending will
not be counted towards ‘Club Member of the Year’
Calculation of points:
One point for each eligible event attended towards
Club member of the year. These events to have ‘*’
or notation that attending this event attracts a point
towards club member of the year. Event co-
ordinators to keep a record of members attending
the event. These records to be forwarded to the
Secretary for calculation of points by the end of Jan.

This photo, taken by Wayne during their recent European holiday is a 1932 MG C
Type supercharged driven by Richard Ford from GB with Patrick Watts. The pho-
tograph was taken at the start of the 2018 Mille Miglia in the centre of Brescia,
Northern Italy on 16 th May 2018. The Mille Miglia is a 1000 mile Regularity com-
petition, from Brescia to Rome and back again. There were 9 MG’s competing in
the event with models from 1932 to 1957, the cut-off year for the re-enactment of
“The Most Beautiful Race – The Mille Miglia”. The list of MG’s includes 1935 MG
PB, 1938 MG SA, 2 X 1939 MG TB’s, 1955 MGA, 1956 MGA, 1957 MGA Coupe,
1957 MGA as well as the MG C Type in the photograph.
