MG Car Club of South Australia MID WEEK LUNCH RUN NEWS from Garry Chapman, Thursday 11 October 2018. 32 people mostly in MG’s met at the Torrens Arms Hotel for coffee and the hotel people said that the car park had never looked so good. It was a beauti- ful spring day and most of the hoods were down. After a coffee and a chat we negotiated the suburbs of Mitcham, Belair and Blackwood and up the steep hill of Ack- land Hill Road. On the run through to Mylor we were joined by Roger and Caroline Boylen in their MGB. The countryside was looking great with lots of green grass and probably too many yellow dandelions. The run through Echunga and Macclesfield to Meadows was completed by all without incident and although there were road works in front of the hotel everyone found a suit- able parking spot. It was good to see Brian and Kath Gold- ing who drove over from Murray Bridge in their MG TC, Chris and Annette Kinney came in the seldom seen Riley 1.5 which is looking good. 10 people came straight to the Meadows Hotel bringing the total attendance to 44. We were welcomed by the hotel man- ager who said that the MG Car Club had a very good reputation from previ- ous visits and as the food was agreed to be excellent a good time was had by all. Members who attended were: Brian & Kath Golding MG TC; Wes & Chris Bray MG 1100; Ian & De Denny MGA; Trevor & Sandy Dicker MGA; Bill & Kathy Bran- son MGB; Susette Cook MGB; Peter & Janet Lorimer MGB; Peter & Bronwyn Micklem MGB; Andrew & Deb Pointon MGB; Rodger & Sue Polkinghorne MGB; Bryan & June Terry MGB; Stephen Marlow MGB; Roger & Caro- line Boylen MGB; John & Helen Tamke MG RV8; Garry & Jenice Chapman MGF; Darryl Kelly MGF/TF; Mike Green- wood & Jan Dinan MG6; Chris & An- nette Kinney Riley; Bob & Vari Booth Subaru; Lawrie Foody Porsche 911; Daryl & Jenny Pinch Lexus; Neville & Marjorie Pridgeon Ford; Ian & Di Wil- liamson Ford; Leigh Richter Toyota; Ar- thur Ruediger BMW.
