MG Car Club of South Australia MID WEEK LUNCH RUN REPORTS From..Graham Loader & Gary Chapman From..Graham Loader Thursday 13 th September 2018 At last after so much changeable weather not really suitable for MG open top touring we were blessed with a lovely sunny 20deg day for our lunch run. 29 people assembled at Crafers Hotel, most in their MGs including A’s, B’s, F’s, T & Y types. All settled in for a coffee and chat before setting out on our run to our lunch desti- nation The Gully Hotel, Tea Tree Gully. It was nice to see first timers Steve and Pat Holmes join us in their lovely little red bug eyed Healy Sprite. The route traversed 80 km of green roll- ing vistas of the Adelaide Hills to the Gully Hotel where another 6 members joined us for lunch. Amongst these were Chris and Annette Kinney, Chris deter- mined not to miss the lunch even though he had to use two chairs, one to rest his foot on after recent surgery. Most of the route used back road and bypassed many towns and it appeared that most members enjoyed the roads and some so much they have kept the instructions and will do it again at their leisure. We were looked after well by the hotel who would like to see us return. We did get a pleasant surprise whilst at lunch with previous lunch run organisers Diane and David Holmes calling in to say hello. Next Mid Week Lunch Run will be on Thursday 11 th October meeting at 10.30 am at the Lounge Bar, Torrens Arms Hotel 95 Belair Rd, Kingswood, depart- ing 11.30 am for a 12.30 pm lunch at Meadows Hotel.
