MG Car Club of South Australia
On a sad note it was acknowledged that
the founder of the tyre dynasty, Bob
Jane had passed away .
Bob Schapel, ever the Thinker in Resi-
dence or maybe a Dr Summner Miller
( why is it so?), wants an old TC water
pump to pull apart and play with.

Vintage Collingrove Hillclimb. Now here
is a story that will unfold for Artfur Rum-
mager in the great ND. At the time of
typing this report, I have it from a reli-
able informant that the great ND was
not able to perform all that well going up
the incline. A somewhat similar story
applies to another great Prewar vehicle
driven by the “Vicar Cundy” in the NA
after the All MG Day . Apparently as is
the official explanation issued by Rolls
Royce cars, the NA failed to “Proceed”
Don Walker sent a message that he has
two giveaway Morris Ten blocks for
anyone contemplating sending a conrod
through the side of an XPAG engine.
Don has put out to market his recently
acquired Y Type and the white TF to
fund up the work on the Tickford bodied
SA project.
Y Type Saloon. I have had an enquiry
for a purchase of one in good original
condition if you know of any others go-
ing for sale.
November meeting.
Dinner meeting at the Stanley Bridge
Hotel at Verdun just off the freeway as
last year and I have booked for 50
seated inside. I have some early ac-
knowledgements at this stage, however
I will send out an email prior to Thurs-
day 1 November.
Thanks again , an excellent night of
spirited conversation and fellowship.
