MG Car Club of South Australia
Motorsport Mutterings – March 2018
booked, supp regs on the way and so-
cial functions being prepared. There will
be a Hillclimb at Collingrove on Saturday
9 June and a Super Sprint at The Bend
on Sunday 10 June. It is planned to
have an informal dinner gathering on the
Saturday night and the presentation din-
ner on the Sunday night in Murray
Bridge. Although some of our members
may choose to travel each day it would
be good to have some locals attend
these dinners to provide hospitality to
our interstate visitors and enjoy the so-
cial aspects of the weekend.
The 2018 club motorsport year has be-
gun.
Sunday 11 March –
Super Sprint Round 1
Round 1 of the MSCA Super Sprint se-
ries will be run on 11 March at Mallala.
Entries are by CAMS Event Entry sys-
tem and Supp Regs are on the MSCA
website. As this event is always the best
attended you would be wise to get your
entries in early.
The Come and Try component to this
event will again be run to give super
sprint novices a taste of sprinting with
some tuition from experienced sprinters.
This is well worthwhile for those who
haven’t been on the track before includ-
ing juniors, aged 14 or more, to gain the
experience with training and supervi-
sion.
MGCC SA is on duty to provide flaggies
for this event and we need approx six
volunteers. Please let Peter or Murray
know if you are available to assist. It’s a
great way to see the action.
We are calling for expressions of inter-
est in the event to help with catering and
planning. Could you please send an
email to Murray and Bev to indicate your
interest in the event for the Hillclimb,
sprint, dinners and accommodation. This
is not binding. We will also require a
number of officials on both days so if
you would like to help out please also
indicate that.
