MG Car Club of South Australia PRESIDENTS REPORT From.. .Adrian Ward H i Members and Friends cated our tasks for the day. I was to be a flag marshall at Flag Point 4 with Geoff Glas- son and John Ruby. We were only per- mitted one car per Flag Point, and as I was in the GT, Geoff suggested that I travel with him and John in Judy's (2 door) Celica. Getting in the back seat was okay, however getting out was an- other story, as you can well imagine!!! The racing was excellent, beautiful cars with Dick Manning managing to give us a wave each time as he flew past, good on you Dick. Tim, Murray and Bev with their helpers did an absolutely superb job, and from our point of view could not have done any better. Thank you all for your dedicated support. Historic Registration/Conditional Regis- tration - This Committee was formed in 2003. Five of the original members are still serving on this Committee, every Saturday in January and February and one Saturday a month for the remaining ten months. These members are - Ar- thur Ruediger, Neil Stagg, Rodger Polk- inghorn, Trevor Praite, David Fair- brother, and Ian Denny who have served for 13 years, ( see photo oppo- site. ) To the above Members we thank you for your OUTSTANDING service to the Club, it is truly appreciated. Geraldine Hough - It was saddening to hear that our long time Club Stalwart Geraldine has had a serious health scare, and has resigned her positions of Regalia Officer and Librarian. We send our love and very best wishes to both Geraldine (and Wayne) for a speedy and total recovery. Hoping to see you soon in your MG at a Club Function. Keep on MG'ing...!! Regards Adrian Ward President Laurie Foody - June 13 saw Laurie cele- brate his 88th Birthday. Congratulations Laurie, hope you had a GREAT DAY. The Weekender - Fully subscribed and looking like a really good fun weekend. Barb and Wendy have put a lot of work into organizing this event, and I am sure everyone who has booked is very much looking forward to it. Not sure who is in charge of "Shenanigans" for this event.....maybe Steve and Bryan ?? The MG Challenge - My involvement with this event was on Sunday at The Bend Raceway, and I must say I was gobsmacked as I approached the venue, it is certainly most impressive. We were assembled at 8.00am and allo- 6
